Rwanda Utilities and Regulatory Authority has announced new prices to be referred to on different Petrol stations on different petroleum products, mainly Gasoline and Diesel.
“I wish to inform you and the association in genral that the applicable Kigali pump prices for the months of March and April 2017 will not exceed Rwf 1022/Litre on Gasoline (PMS) and Rwf 958 on Diessel (AGO) effective from 3rd March 2017”, reads a statement released on Thursday signed by RURA’s Director General, Patrick Nyirishema.
This means that Petrol gas prices increase by Rwf 52 and Rwf 25 comparing to Rwf970 and Rwf932 per litre for petrol and diesel respectively
The statement further explains that the new price rise were set following recent discussions made on petrol products pricing in which the current international oil prices and the March and April price structures for Petroleum products were discussed and agreed.
However, RURA explains that the prices could be reviewed by the end of April depending on how oil prices will be standing on the international market.
