478 cadets officers have officially completed and passed the military training courses and were crowned ‘Second Lieutenant’ officers.
While officiating the Commissioning Ceremony of Cadets Officers at Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, Western Province, where the training courses were concluded, on wednesday, president Paul Kagame told the military graduates to keep the values for the country’s sovereignty protection and the and assure the full security to the country’s citizens.
He said, ” It is your responsibility to protect the sovereignty of our country but most importantly, our citizens. True sovereignty means the well being and dignity of our citizens. Protecting our sovereignty means working for the development of every Rwandan and ensuring that no one is left behind”
“The Rwanda Defence Force has a history in which we find the values that guide us in building our country, The profession you have chosen is an important responsibility we expect you to fulfill and the training you have received is about building this country and preserving what is built,” He added.
He also urged the fresh military graduates to join hands to not only protect but also build the country give it a positive shape as well as to find the solutions to the challenges facing the citizens, who are the prior country’s privlege.
“RDF is not just about military protection. We have a role in transforming this nation, working with and for the people RDF is the citizens of this country. We must take part in finding solutions to the challenges citizens face” he said.
