Kayumba Nyamwasa also gives the names of two “shooters” Franck Nziza and Eric Hakizimana, and said that the missiles had shot down the plane were hidden in a truck under the firewood. However, it does not explain why Paul Kagame has decided to hand over the underside of the operation after having discarded.
For the rest, Kayumba Nyamwasa devotes several pages to counter the statements of witnesses who, between 2001 and 2003 the accused to French courts to have participated in planning meetings for the attack which is worth it to be since 2007 within the scope of an international arrest warrant.
The report entitled ‘report of the investigation into the causes and circumstances of and responsibility for the attack of 06/04/1994 against the falcon 50 rwandan presidential aeroplane’ chaired by Dr Jean Mutsinzi; in its last page stipulates that the missile fired at the president’s aircraft was from Kanombe military area.
“Things worsened on 04 April 1994 when President Habyarimana instructed his head of cabinet, Enock Ruhigira, to write a statement announcing that an oath would be taken by members of the transitional government and parliament on 08 April 1994, the day after his return from the Dar es Salaam Summit. Thus the assassination of President Habyarimana, which had been forecast for years, was carried out by a missile fired at his aeroplane on 06 April 1994 from the Kanombe military area, for which the Rwandan Armed Forces are responsible”.
