Kigali: Female presidential candidate’s private pictures leak

Private pictures of Rwanda’s female presidential candidate, Ms Diane Shima Rwigara, have leaked, two days after a press conference announcing her presidential bid.

Diane Shima Rwigara, is named after her millionaire dad, Assinapol Rwigara, who passed away in a motor accident in 2015.

According to Chimpreports, the pictures were taken in an unknown area, while the 35-year-old completely nude, and she was smiling while posing for the photographs on a brown leather sofa seat.

In a press conference on Wednesday 3rd May, she expressed her will to challenge RPF rule. She said, “RPF has failed to tackle poverty or to provide security and justice. What RPF has failed to do in the last 23 years, they cannot do it in the coming years. As a president, I will ensure that I deliver on all these.”

According to Diane Rwigara, it is a bad habit accross Africa, that leaders do not want leave power. “When time comes for leaders to leave power, they get excuses to stay and then say that it is the people who are asking them to continue to lead. This is a bad habit across the continent,” she was quoted as saying by the East African.

A shock on the way

It remains unclear who leaked the photos which first appeared on Ugandan WhatsApp groups. The impact of the photos on her presidential bid remains uncertain, but for sure, they could turn out as fodder for Uganda’s sensational tabloids and excite their youthful audiences.

In other extreme cases, jilted partners use such photos for blackmail or revenge purposes.

About the source of photos, Igihe. Com of Kigali published a story today, assuming, but from credible informers, that “pictures are from Robert Mugabe, a journalist and MD of Great Lakes Voice, former boyfriend to Diane”.

Bwiza.com contacted Robert on phone, he said “pictures are fake, the leaker has intention of disturbing the candidate and conflicting her with former boyfriend”.

This evening, Robert posted on his facebook page- as Mugabe Bob-, saying pictures are doctored, and that leakers can do more for political purpose.

But he encourages Diane Rwigara, to keep strong, also warning the person behind sharing the email with doctored nudes, that at a given time, he/she will be held accountable before courts.

Back to the candidate, Bwiza.com tried to get her reaction but in vain. She does not pick the phone, and the message sent to her is not yet answered.
