Rwanda Peace cup champion, Rayon Sports have taken control of the Azam Rwanda Premier League Standings after match day four round played over the weekend.
The Blues thrashed bottom-ranked Marines Fc 3-0 on Saturday with Burundian international Kwizera Pierrot scoring a double before Malian-born striker Moussa Camara scored the third goal at Umuganda Stadium.
The win took the blues on top of the standings, level on 10 points with Sunrise Fc who were forced to a 1-all draw by Pepiniere Fc on Sunday afternoon at Ruyenzi grounds.
Sunrise Fc occupy second spot with an inferior goal difference (+5), three behind Rayon Sports.
Police Fc are third on the standings, level on 9 points with Kirehe Fc but has a +1 goal difference over the Ngoma-based side. Police Fc defeated Gicumbi Fc 2-0 on Friday at Kicukiro turf. Dany Usengimana and Mico Juston scored the crucial goals for the Cops’ side.
Fourth-placed Kirehe Fc beat Etincelles Fc 2-1 in Ngoma on Saturday with the Rubavu-based dropping to eighth slot with six points.
Defending champions APR Fc lost valuable points to drop to fifth slot with eight points following a goalless draw away to Musanze Fc in Nyakinama. Musanze Fc is in sixth position with seven points.
Mukura VS are ranked seventh with six points following a 2-1 win over SC Kiyovu at Huye Stadium on Saturday. Habimana Yussufu and Cyiza Hussein scored the all-important goals for Mukura VS while Niyitegeka Idrissa secured the consolation goal for the Mumena-based side.
Elsewhere, AS Kigali and Bugesera Fc played a goalless draw at Stade de Kigali on Saturday while Espoir Fc picked a point at home against Amagaju Fc following a 1-all draw with Ndikumana Bodo scoring for the home side while Hussein Shaban commonly known as Tchabalala bagged one for the visitors.
Espoir Fc are 11th with four points while Amagaju Fc sit in 14th, level on one point with Pepiniere Fc and bottom-ranked Marines Fc respectively.
