Foreign Affairs and International Relations Minister Louise Mushikiwabo might have lost her temper and felt not patient after Human Rights Watch Chief Kenneth Roth questioned what might be behind hashtag #RwandaDecides that was used during 2017 presidential elections, making a point that only Kagame decides, not anyone else.
It all started when Ken Roth appeared to critically talk of Rwanda’s trendy Hashtag, #RwandaDecides, recently used during Rwanda’s just concluded 2017 presidential elections, and took on his Twitter timeline and wrote,“Rwandan trolls are using #RwandaDecides hashtag against criticism of country’s murderous dictatorship, as if anyone but Paul Kagame decides
Reacting on the Roth’s tweet, Mushikiwabo quickly reacted in response and wrote, “Ken, Ken, Ken… You’ve come off your medication again? There is a place called Ndera in Rwanda, where you can get help!” to give him a challenge probably to move for USA and come to Rwanda for medical help.
The context through which Mushikiwabo wrote this might have been used as if Ken Roth must not be psychologically alright given what he wrote on Rwanda, suggesting he would be better off going to Ndera to fix his brain for normal function, all to show Roth that a normal human being should not sit and write such a strange critical but baseless statement to give a wrong image on Rwanda to the global community following him on Twitter.
The misunderstanding between Mushikiwabo and Ken Roth comes only a week after the former warned American author Bryan Klass’ critical opinion on Rwandan politics published in Washington Post, the warning which she further sent to a number foreign community that appear to criticize Rwandan political rule and African leadership in general.
