Francine Havugimana, the second Vice Chairperson in charge of tourism at Private Sector Federation, has been among the Rwandan investors who travelled to SaoTome and she is ready to invest there.
She said this while sharing her experience she got from last week’s Rwandan delegation of investors and Government officials’ trip to Sao Tome, which she was part of, meeting the country’s Prime Minister Patrice Trovoada, and other government officials, discussing a variety of trade opportunities existing in the country and possible trade Investment partnerships in SaoTome.
The trip was organized by PSF, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Rwanda Development Board where 30 business leaders are seeking trade partnership with West African Countries, especially in Sao Tome, mainly from the ICT, manufacturing, construction, agro–processing, tourism and transport sectors.
While sharing her experience from the trip, Havugimama said, “SaoTome has opened up the market for Rwandan investors and we are ready to tap into that market”
The business trip was concluded by different trade deals between both sides where PSF and Chamber of commerce industry, agriculture and service of SaoTome have signed a cooperation agreement.
The investors say the Cooperation Agreement will facilitate both parties in terms of easing investment and this will increase trade flows in both countries.
SaoTome has already committed itself to facilitate every Rwandan trader who is willing to invest in that country in all sectors.
