Green Party’s Frank Habineza says he is confident his party will win presidential elections at 65 per cent.
While campaigning in Ngororero District on Thirsday, Habineza has confirmed the increasing confidence he has to win the August 4 presidential elections given the support he and the party he represents, have got so far in past 20 venue rallies.
Reference to how convinced residents have been with Green Party’s manifesto Habineza said he will undoubtedly win the elections.
He said, “we have got to see how thirsty Rwandans, across the venue rallies we have toured, are about our democratic manifesto and the majority of population we have reach so far have promised us that they will vote for us. The confidence has since risen where we feel to win the elections at, at least, 65 per cent”
If elected, Habineza, through the political party’s manifesto, has promised to close Transit centers, coming up with a new policy allowing people to grow the preferred crops, which is different from the current one that focuses on land use consolidation whereby selected seeds and appropriate agricultural inputs are applied based on appropriate farmland, mechanized farming and irrigation.
He is also looking to welcome again the use of second hand garments and instead assist street vendors developing their business in a well-structured manner.
Habineza also looks to clear taxes on land and discount on Value added Taxes.
Green party also looks to improve and expand the cooperation with the international community as well as improving welfare for students, teachers, military departments, police and medical servants.
The community will also fully get clean and healthy water and electricity while expanding infrastructure in different parts of the country.
Green Party is the youngest political party comparing to other political parties legally allowed to operate in Rwanda, including RPF-Inkotanyi which is also in the race for another seven-year reign, with other 8 political parties all behind the ruling party ahead of the August elections.
Independent candidate Philippe Mpayimana is also eyeing the golden chance to open a new page of his life as the president.
