Bishop Emeritus of Cyangugu Anglican Diocese Geoffrey Rwubusisi while preaching good news in Uganda has made remarks on President Yoweri Museveni’s recent speech targeted at the Church Leadership and its intrusion on the country’s political affairs.
Bishop Rwubusisi reminded Museveni that no bishop wants to be President but they are hurt when they see things going the wrong way, which prompts them to speak out.
“We don’t want to take your positions. The president needn’t live in fear. He needs to know is that the church has a role of showing direction to the country.” Rwubusisi clarified
Chimpreports broke the story that Bishop Rwubusisi mentioned it is a shame to see educated legislators fighting like villagers in parliament and requested the Uganda political leadership to leadership to look somewhere else for their enemies other than the church.
Emeritus Bishop Rwubusisi was in Uganda yesterday preaching at the 2018 Kigezi Diocese Brethren Conference. The Conference which started on Friday at the Rugarama Convention Ground organized under the theme, “Do not conform to the standards of this world,” from Romans 12:2.
