Rwanda’s Ambassador to Uganda, Frank Mugambage has urged Rwandan youth living in Uganda to keep memories of 1994 genocide against the Tutsi for it is their responsibility.
Mugambage, during 25th genocide commemoration at Makerere University, said the only way to overcome genocide trauma is to keep unity among Rwandans.
“It is your responsibility to keep memory alive” Rtd. Maj. Gen. Mugambage urged the youth
“This is a moment to pay tribute to those who perished and we stand in solidarity with survivors,” he added
He emphasised unity and hard work has defined Rwandans to become powerful.
“When I look at how far we have come, unity and hard work that has defined us, there is nothing we cannot overcome.” He noted
Rwanda is commemorating 100 days long 1994 genocide against the Tutsi which took more than one million lives.
