Burundian army at Rwanda’s border urged to be standby


Government of Burundi has urged their troops at neighboring borders to Rwanda to stay standby.

According to the statement of Burundi’s Defence Spokesperson, Col. Floribert Bayireke  said there are no rebels who attacked Rwanda via Burundi soil.

The statement released shortly after security officials in Rwanda announced the attack in Nyaruguru District, neighbouring Burundi.

The copy acquired by Igihe/Burundi reads army has to be cautious and protect their country.

Meanwhile,  Burundi army FDNB (Force de Defense Nationale du Burundi) refute all allegations yet announce there is a need of high protection particulary areas bording Rwanda.
