Eight Rwandans sentenced 13 months imprisonment in Uganda
Eight Rwandan nationals were on Tuesday sentenced to thirteen months in prison or to pay a fine of Shs 300.000 for illegal entry into the country.
Chimpreports broke the story, Chief Magistrate Julius Borore Kyaka heard from prosecution led by Gloria Inzikuru, that the suspects on 28th April 2018 at Katuna town council in Kabale district, eight Rwandans were found unlawfully in Uganda soil.
The prisoners are Uwinduhaye Uwidonata 22, Uwimbabazi Karesi 23, Shantali Benemariya 27, Ajerie Mukunddantayambaje 23, Shantali Mukansiina 24, Habyarimana 24 Alex Sheema and Mutumbashimimana
However,These all pleaded guilty to the charges and asked court to be lenient and let them return home because they committed the crime unknowingly.
These told court that they were only looking for work to support themselves and their families.
