FLN rebels doubt Sankara is fine

National Liberation Front (FLN) has spoken out their doubt on life of their former spokesperson, Nsabimana Callixte aka Major Sankara, who was captured by Rwanda government in April, 2019.

Sankara was last week paraded by Rwanda Investigation Bureau in front of Journalists, yet his people, through statement dated May 19, said they are not sure his safe and sound.

The Head of MRCD, a party with FLN as a military wing, Paul Rusesabagina said they are not sure Sankara is alive according to what they saw during his public appearance.

“ Sankara was shown public held tightly like plantain, he could not talk as to greet people who were present. The only thing to prove he is  both physically and mentally good is his speech.” A statement seen by BBC reads apart

Besides, with policeman on two sides, blue shirt and sun glasses, Sankara looked fine and occasionally smiled. According to RIB Spokesperson, Modeste Mbabazi, Sankara chose not to talk to the public himself. However, Moise Nkundabarashe, his self-chosen lawyer talked on his behalf citing his client was fine.

As of now, his case has been on Friday provided to the prosecution and he is to face justice soon.

The Spokesperson and self-claimed major has recently been making headlines in media over claims that he captured a big part of Nyungwe Forest, South-Western Rwanda.

He is accused of terrorism, rebellion among others
