Four Rwandans, congolese arrested in Uganda
Authorities in Rubanda district have in detained four Rwandan nationals and one Congolese who were arrested over illegal entry into the country.
These were yesterday intercepted by police led by the Rubanda District Police Commander, Tai Ramathan at Karukara along the Kabale-Rubanda-Kisoro road.
The suspects were traveling in a vehicle registration number UBD 376 B, which belongs to Nzovu Transporters, that was headed for Kampala from Kisoro.
The arrested individuals according to Chimpreports , told police that they were going to Tooro to work on tea plantations in Kabarole District.
They were not found with the necessary travel documents or work permits.
According to Ramathan, the vehicle was also impounded since driver,Timothy Habimana had no driving permit.
Many Rwandans have been arrested in Uganda over illegal entry and sent back home by Uganda’s authority.
The only identity card allows people to move freely in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.
