Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame has recommended westerners to stop superiority mindsets towards respects of human rights.
In exclusive interview with FRANCE 24 President Kagame, said there is there is a problem of understanding when it comes to who respect human rights.
“You think you are the only oe who respects human rights, all others it is about violating human rights, no. We fought for human rights and freedom of our people, much better, more than anyone. You need to stop superiority complex nonsense about human rights.” Kagame said
“Where we have taken our country from and where it is now, speaks it,” he added
Meanwhile, human rights organisation reports have accused Rwanda of human rights abuse including lack of freedom of expression, torture to name a few.
Also, The European Union’s 2018 human rights report highlights “serious violations of civil and political rights”
Commenting to EU report, Kagame said it is “ridiculous”.
