A yet to be known disease has been a puzzle to secondary school students at Rambura Filles located in Nyabihu District, Western Rwanda.
According to the victims, they suffer a lot while making a step but doctors say there are no results showing the existence of the disease.
“We were told last month that there is a disease that attacks knees. We sent a team of doctors to look for a cause but they failed,” Shyira Hospital Director General, Maj. Dr. Kayitare Emmanuel told local newspapers
He said some were given tablets to reduce pain while conducting the investigation about this issue. He added that they suspect lack of vitamin B as a cause to the disease.
The school was advised to provide enough time for sport and nutrition improvement.
