President Kagame Paul of Rwanda has revealed that former DRC President, Joseph Kabila denied national carrier, RwandAir flights to Kinshasa.
Kagame made the revelation during the interview with TZA newspapers two days ago.
“ (…) we asked the previous government of President Kabila to have our airline Rwandair to connect Kigali and Kinshasa. And they refused. I didn’t understand why. It was just politics.” Kagame said
Portraying the difference in cooperation with previous regime in DRC, The Head of State said: “Under Tshisekedi they have allowed the flights. And the traffic is huge. The plane is always full. We can’t even have enough! So it shows already a very positive thing.”
He added: We are even formalising defence and security cooperation so that we deal with troublemakers along our border.
