President Kagame reminds young basketball players “We look up to you for you to be what you want to”


President Kagame has requested Young basketball players to struggle aiming to be what they want to including basketball players.

Kagame has remarked while officially opening the 2018 Giants of Africa Camp on Monday.

“We look up to you for you to be what you want to be among other things including basketball players” Kagame said

“You don’t become giants anyhow. Invest your energy, time, thinking and passion into it, you may end up being giants” he added

Kagame also thanked the delegation  led by Adam Silver, Commissioner of NBA and Masai Ujiri, President of the Raptors to have chosen Rwanda to host 15th anniversary of the initiative.

Giants of Africa hosts basketball camps and community outreach initiatives and are visiting the African continent via Rwanda, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal.

The initiative seeks to provide African youth access to the Basketball game and empowering them to achieve their greatest potential.

The camps is slated from in August 6 to 8 this year in Rwanda.
