President Museveni orders to put Gen Kale Kayihura under tight house arrest
Military personnel have taken back former Uganda’s Inspector general of police General Kale Kayihura from Makindye military barracks to his home in Muyenga, the outskirts of Kampala city according to the order of Museveni.
Gen Kale, according to the source, the development is exercised after several meetings with different stakeholders including a delegation from Kisoro district where Kayihura was born.
Source added that Kayihura is now detained at his home and is only allowed to be accessed by his lawyers and family members.
He was also allowed to have a chef who is cooking for him.
Kayihura was arrested on orders of CDF General David Muhoozi from his home in Kashagama in Lyantonde District last month.
It is reported that Kayihura will be presented to court when investigations are done by CMI and ISO.
Gen Kayihura was arrested along side former Crime Intelligence boss Ndahura Atwooki, former flying squad boss Herbert Muhangi and SSP Christopher Ndaboine, the former director police Cyber crime unit among others.
