President Museveni’s son, Gen. Kainerugaba pays visit to the detained Gen. Kale Kayihura
President Museveni’s son and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, Maj Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba secretly has paid a visit to detained former Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura.
Gen Muhoozi, accoding to Chimpreports, arrived at Makindye Military Barracks on Thursday, July 12. in a small convoy of military vehicles and was was received by the commanding officer, Col William Bainomugisha.
Army officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to speak freely said Muhoozi met with Kayihura in a house where he is detained.
“Muhoozi met with Kayihura for a private discussion,” said an officer privy to the visit, “It lasted about an hour.”
The officer described the visit as “reassuring” considering that Gen Kayihura had complained that Internal Security Organisation (ISO) was reportedly fabricating evidence against him.
However, the details of the duo general discussion are still unknown to this website.
“I have no idea on who intends to visit or has visited Gen Kayihura. That’s not in my line,” he told ChimpReports on Wednesday.
This is not the first time Gen Kayihura is being visited by senior army officers for Museveni’s brother Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salem Saleh also paid a visit.
During his reign as Special Forces Commander, Maj Gen Muhoozi worked closely with Gen Kayihura in many operations in Uganda.
