Protest in Michigan as UNHCR confirms 11 Congolese refugees’ tragic deaths in Rwanda
Kinyarwanda- Speaking Congolese refugees in Michigan State,United States Of America have demonstrated against 11 Congolese refugees tragic deaths in riot that took place in Karongi district, Western Rwanda on Thursday last week.
These Congolese claims it is time to stop evil acts against their people with hunger for enough is enough

The demonstration at Michigan Grand Rapids is shortly after UNHCR has confirmed 11 Congolese refugees died in protest for food rations cut while 20 were injured together with seven police forces.
Meanwhile, UNHCR spokesperson Cécile Pouilly during press briefing at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, put a blame on Rwandan police forces over refugees tragically death.
“This tragedy should have been avoided and disproportionate use of force against desperate refugees is not acceptable” Pouilly said
“We are shocked and disturbed at loss of refugee lives, we regret that our continued appeals for maintaining calm and restraint were not considered” Pouilly added
Besides the demonstration, UNHCR has urged authorities in Rwanda to ensure safety and protection for refugees after protests.
The deceased refugees were buried Saturday last week.
