RDF soldiers died in a road accident laid to rest
Three Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) soldiers who lost their lives in a fatal accident on Tuesday in Kicukiro were laid to rest on 14 Oct 2016. Late Pte Nsabimana J de Dieu, 25years; Pte Ntakirutimana Egide, 23 years and Pte Nikwigize Blaise of 22 years were honourably laid to rest at Kanombe Military Cemetery.
The three RDF soldiers lost their lives in a deadly road accident that occcured on 11 Oct 2016, in Kicukiro District.
Family members, RDF Generals, Senior Officers, Junior Officers and colleagues paid their last respect to the deceased comrades in a sorrowful ceremony. The funeral ceremony was presided over by the Army Chief of Staff (ACOS), Maj Gen Jacques Musemakweli, on behalf of the RDF Chief of Defense Staff, Gen Patrick Nyamvumba.
“The RDF is really saddened to loose such very young and disciplined soldiers”, the ACOS said while delivering his funeral remarks. Gen Musemakweli further conveyed heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the bereaved families, on behalf the entire RDF family and on his own behalf.
Family members declared that it was extremely shocking to lose their beloved sons in such circumstances. They lauded the deceased for their courage, patriotism and discipline, before adding that the young men had dedicated their young age to serve the country.
